SUPPLEMENTAL COMPONENTS
The EMB-Mounting Plate is a key component of our EMB System. It consists of a base plate with slots and a dovetail clamp. The slots allow the user to precisely position and secure with two fasteners (either M6 or 1/4"-20, depending on your breadboard) to a breadboard. The dovetail clamp interfaces with our EMB modules on any of the dovetail profiles and allows for translational adjustment until the clamp is closed. Two M4x0.7 fasteners are used to clamp the dovetail.
Note that the dovetail clamp can be separated from the base plate by removing the two M6 fasteners. This might be required if the user wants to flip the dovetail clamp so the M4x0.7 fasteners are on the opposite side of the slots, for example if there's no access to the fasteners in one side.

EMB-MOUNTING PLATE
To attach two in-line shafts, this zero backlash constant velocity helical coupler is recommended. This coupler provides a small misalignment compensation.
Note: we strongly recommend to never use rigid couplers, as it will damage the bearings of our EMB modules.

EMB-SHAFT COUPLER
This is a premium aluminum knob, with knurled surface and line indicator. The 6 mm bore fits the shaft of our EMB modules. We include a 6"-32 soft tip screw (brass tip) to avoid shaft damage.
A typical application is to mount to the encoder or potentiometer modules and use as input/reference in a control system.

EMB-KNOB
The EMB-Rotary Inertia is mounted to a rotary shaft of our EMB modules to add an inertia load.
It fastens to either the Flange Shaft Collar or the Flange Shaft Collar MXL via three M4X0.7 fasteners.

EMB-ROTARY INERTIA
This aluminum flange shaft collar is used to add further capability to EMB, than the standard mechanical components such as gears and pulleys. It provides superior clamping due to Fairloc® clamp. There are three M4X0.7 holes and three M4 clearance holes on a 28.0 mm bolt circle.
It allows the user to mount custom components, for instance cams and linkages, to the face of the shaft collar.

EMB-FLANGE SHAFT COLLAR
EMB-FLANGE SHAFT COLLAR MXL
This aluminum flange shaft collar is based on an MXL pulley, with 60 teeth. It provides superior clamping due to Fairloc® clamp. There are three M4X0.7 holes and three M4 clearance holes on a 28.0 mm bolt circle.
This clamp is used to add further capability to EMB, than standard mechanical components such as gears and pulleys. It allows the user to mount custom components, for instance cams and linkages, to the face of the shaft collar.

This sensor cable has M12, 5-pole connectors on both sides (Male and Female). It plugs directly to our EMB sensor modules and the EMB-DAQ1.
Two lengths are offered, 1 m (3.2 ft) and 3 m (9.8 ft). We strongly recommend using shorter cable lengths (1 m) to improve signal integrity, especially for analog signals (potentiometer).
We also offer 4-pole version cable. Note, using a 4-pole cable won't supply the encoder Index signal, since the center pin of the 5-pole connector won't be connected.

EMB-SENSOR CABLE AXIAL
This sensor cable has an M12, 5-pole connector on one end and free leads (pigtail) on the other.
The M12 plugs directly to our EMB sensor modules and the pigtail allows the user to make connect to the EMB-DAQ2 or other DAQ/board/shield.
The user can cut the cable to length to best fit the application. We strongly recommend using shorter cable lengths to improve signal integrity, especially for analog signals (potentiometer).
We also offer 4-pole version cable. Note, using a 4-pole cable won't supply the encoder Index signal, since the center pin of the 5-pole connector won't be connected.

EMB-TOOL KIT
These shafts can be used to study the effect of a flexible shaft in a plant. Typical examples are found on Dynamic Systems and Control textbooks.
Three materials are offered, ABS, Acetal, Nylon, each with different mechanical properties. The standard offering length is 300mm, but other lengths are available.
Two Helical shaft couplers are used to mount the flexible shaft to EMB modules.
